Dynamic side return extension and loft conversion

This end of terrace house was completely transformed to create a stunning contemporary home.

The whole of the ground floor was opened up in the extension design and the staircase turned 180 degrees to create the required space on the first floor. It was designed as an impressive feature to both enhance and define the ground floor areas.

Kitchen units were extended into the dining area to create a sense of overlapping spaces. The extension into the side return provided an opportunity for much-needed storage cupboards.

The loft bedroom had a limited ceiling height and so a sense of airiness was achieved by installing a full-width full height picture window to maximize the light and views.

“Architect Your Home showed me how to solve the problems that seemed insurmountable. The architect’s fees are a tiny fraction of the final build cost and we ended up with exactly what we wanted instead of what the builder said we could have.”
