Rabbit Wood comprises 3.29 acres (1.33 hectares) or thereby of amenity woodland and is located close to the small village of Craigie in South Ayrshire.
Rabbit wood was felled in 2017 and was re-stocked with a mixture of Beech, Hawthorn, Oak, Silver Birch, Sycamore and Wild Cherry. Rabbit wood provides a wonderful amenity woodland which can be enjoyed in many different ways subject to obtaining the relevant planning consents.
The trees which were planted at the time of re-stocking are showing good growth rates. There is an area of hardstanding at the entrance to the wood at the roadside.
