The site is an undeveloped area of woodland located to the south of Penberthy Road. It sits between the coastal village of Portreath to the west and the smaller settlement of Bridge to the east, and is dissected by Portreath stream. While the site sits beyond the two settlements, the residential development in the area forms a hamlet known as Bridge Moor.

Portreath is a civil parish, village and fishing port on the north coast of Cornwall, England, United Kingdom. The village is about three miles (5 km) west-north-west of Redruth. The village extends along both sides of a stream valley and is centred on the harbour and beach.
