Having entered into this refurbishment project with no little apprehension, I’m delighted to say that I "struck gold" with Lally and her team. She brought a "good eye" and much energy to the project.

I was not able to visit the property at any time during the process but notwithstanding, Lally provided regular updates of progress and was extremely responsive to all queries. All projects have snags but Lally was able to suggest practical solutions and workarounds where applicable.

Really a superb project manager and interior designer.

Lally helped us design a new living space off our kitchen as part of a remodelling of our whole ground floor. The colours and fabrics suggested by Lally have helped create an absolute haven for our family. The room has such a cosy, inviting feel and has been a joy throughout lockdown. Lally listened to the brief and was very patient throughout. Would thoroughly recommend her!

I first saw Lally’s work on Houzz website and immediately liked her style. At the time we were in the middle of renovating a Georgian property and struggling to agree on how to move forward with the interiors as we both had very different ideas. Lally fortunately came to meet us, listened very carefully to both of our points of view and having spent time studying the property went away and put a proposal together with regards to colours, flooring, room layout, window treatments, textiles and some pieces of furniture that would work with our own. We were delighted with her suggestions which brought an immediate direction and harmony to our project. It was a joy to collaborate with Lally, she was always willing to listen and offer alternative options. 

I got in touch with Lally after to moving to Edinburgh from London, wanting desperately to make our new house feel like home but not really knowing where to start. She helped me with curtains, blinds, paint colours and various bits of furniture - principally for the sitting room but also elsewhere in the house. She was incredibly professional and efficient but also very warm and personable. She has a passion for interiors, lovely taste and great ideas but also listened carefully to what I wanted and seemed to have an extraordinary knack of understanding exactly what I like which resulted in a very personal and lovely scheme. She was also incredibly kind and flexible when I had a change of mind at one point. I would highly recommend her.

Having purchased a period property in Edinburgh, Lally was commissioned by us to update the property. As can be imagined with a listed property this was a challenging project. We felt that it was particularly necessary to add another bathroom. This involved listed building consent being granted as it was necessary to run new pipe work to the rear of the building. Lally dealt with everything from planning layouts, submitting the application for listed building consent, drawing up electrical rewiring plans and liaising with her team of tradesmen. Once work began, Lally was very hands on overseeing everything, and also with keeping the momentum going for each stage of the project. She has wonderful taste and helped us choose paint colours, fabrics for curtains and sofas and took particular care that tonally everything worked throughout the property. She also helped to choose carpets, bathroom fittings and a whole new kitchen. Whenever there was an unexpected complication, as there often is with building projects, Lally dealt with it calmly and very professionally. 

We would thoroughly recommend employing Lally and would definitely commission her to work on another project for us in the future.

Lally has helped us turn our rather neglected Edinburgh town house into our dream home.

I came to Lally close to clueless about what was needed to create the home that we wanted and she has been invaluable in guiding us through all aspects of the process from sourcing stunning fabrics to introducing us to recommended suppliers. What might have been a very stressful process has instead been an absolute joy - I have had such fun working with Lally. 

In particular, I love the fact that she has created a home which perfectly reflects my style (and not necessarily her own). She understood my brief and was receptive to my ideas but also perfectly willing to tell me firmly when one of them wasn’t a goer - which I found very reassuring. 

I am something of a perfectionist and I was so grateful to have the benefit of Lally’s experience and attention to detail on this project - especially during the installation phase when I could not be on-site regularly. I have complete trust in Lally’s judgement and was able to leave her to deal with many of the on-site decisions which otherwise would have held up the project. Lally has thought of all those tiny things that make a room work well - which is every bit as satisfying to me now as the way it looks. 

Finally, from start to finish Lally has been extremely quick to respond to my (many, many) emails which has been extremely helpful. She is clearly not only very organised and efficient but also extremely hard-working and diligent.

A couple of years ago we embarked upon a renovation of our Edinburgh town house. The mere thought of it terrified me! I am not a natural when it comes to interiors and the vast amount of choices required when taking on such a project; I massively lack vision and insight This was when I was lucky enough to discover Lally, she came highly recommend to me by a great friend who had sought her advice in the past.

I realised instantly upon first meeting that she was very experienced and knowledgeable in her field, I very quickly gained confidence in her and her suggestions, she had the vision, insight etc that I lacked. She worked tirelessly throughout the project, always planning ahead in order to meet the deadlines. She was aware of our budget and where possible kept within these financial boundaries. There were a couple of occasions when my husband and I were indecisive and changed our minds on agreed schemes, within 24 hours on each occasion, Lally came up with alternative suggestions. The end product was absolutely perfect and I would have no hesitation in recommending Lally Walford.

Over a period of 5 years, Lally Walford Interiors have managed a programme of transforming our country house from a tired 1980's interior into a lovely, bright family home. LWI were our one-stop shop for the complete overhaul of our drawing room; turning an old pine clad conservatory into a lovely, bright garden dining room; two bathroom renovations; a new master bedroom and en-suite bathroom and the transformation of an old play room into a child's bedroom - not to mention 10 sets of beautifully hand-made curtains and blinds. LWI take all the hassle, stress and mess out of the process and deliver a finished product that is always beautiful, right down to the smallest detail.
