About us
RSC Training Ltd was founded in 2015 by Directors Richard Chapman and Lyndsey Wright to provide accredited training courses for companies who have employees who Work At Height.
RSC Training Ltd has since gained an excellent reputation for their high level of training as well as the customer service they provide. Being a relatively small company, we look to forge working relationships with the companies we work with, both large and small, so we can provide the best possible service we can to our customers.
RSC Training Ltd is fully accredited by various bodies and our instructors are carefully selected for their knowledge and expertise in the training courses we provide. Training is the core of our business, not just an add on! We aim to be flexible to meet the needs of our customers, including regular open courses, dedicated and weekend courses run at our Training Centres, as well as on site courses at our customer’s premises.
The core of training courses we provide are PASMA, IPAF and Ladder Association courses, however we have expanded our portfolio from this to include other courses that our customers have requested from us. If you have a specific training requirement and can't find details about it on our website, please speak to us to see if we can help.
With Training Centres in London and Cambridgeshire, we are ideally situated to provide training within the South East, but with a network of trainers around the UK we are also able to provide training nationwide on customer premises.
What does IPAF training cover?
IPAF training courses cover persons to use machines known as Mobile Elevated Work Platforms, or MEWPs, within a working environment to gain access to work at height safely.
The type of machine the person needs to use will often determine which course they cover, as the machines are separated into categories. Typically, the most popular categories are 3a Mobile Vertical (Scissor Lift) and 3b Mobile Boom (Cherry Picker), however the 1b Static Boom (Trailor/Truck/Lorry/Tracked Mounted) is also popular for a variety of different work.
The machines used at our Training Centre can be covered in one day in either a single, dual, or triple category course and will allow the person to use any machines within those categories covered afterwards.
As well as using MEWPs, IPAF training courses also cover such things as Harness training, Management training and the Loading/Unloading of MEWPs on to vehicles for transportation.
What does PASMA training cover?
PASMA training courses cover persons build and use equipment known as Mobile Access Towers, or Tower Scaffolding, within a working environment to gain access to work at height safely.
Towers can be built to various different designs so depending on what the person needs to work from can often determine which course they cover. Typically, the starting point and most popular course is the Towers For Users course, allowing the person to build a single bay tower vertically to a maximum freestanding height of 8m outside and 12m inside.
The equipment used at our Training Centres can be covered in one day as a standard course, a half day Low Level Access course, or a one day Combined course.
As well as standard building of towers, they can also be built to different configurations depending on the access requirements. PASMA training courses also cover building Towers On Stairways, Cantilever Towers, Towers With Bridges, Linked Towers and Large Deck Towers.
