Yeoman Rainguard Fitted Iconic Worthing Pier

Yeoman Rainguard, the market leader in rainwater systems, has been fitted to Worthing Pier as part of a major external improvement project carried out by the main contractor, Full Metal Jacket.

The pier, which is a Grade II listed building, celebrated its 150th anniversary this year and has been described as one of the most beautiful in the country.

For the pier project, Yeoman Rainguard supplied the contractor with special Cast Iron products – 210 x 150mm MOG Cast Iron Gutter and 150 x 100mm cast iron pipe, supplied ready for them to paint in their choice of colour.

Yeoman Rainguard Cast Iron Rainwater Systems offer all the benefits of traditional materials and designs. Ideal in conservation areas or for listed buildings, cast iron is strong and durable and will give years of service if correctly maintained.

Paul Rawlinson, managing director of Full Metal Jacket, said: “We were very pleased with the service we received from Yeoman Rainguard.”

He added: “The Yeoman representative took all the measurements on the pier. I have to admit we were slightly anxious that having been made ‘off site’ the pipes would fit. However, when we took delivery, we were very pleased they fitted seamlessly.”
