Job description:

ESGmark® is looking for a highly motivated, entrepreneurial business development manager with a passion for sustainability, to help scale our rapidly growing, sustainability-focused certification programme and community.

ESGmark® is a young and dynamic business that exists to help organisations and consumers create a more responsible, sustainable and fairer future. We award the prestigious ESGmark® accreditation and community membership to organisations which demonstrate strong Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG) credentials. We work continuously with our community members to help them on their journey of positive change. We publish self-help guides, provide bespoke advice where appropriate and support our community members in developing their ESG credentials and communicating their achievements to their key stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

Responsibilities will include:

  • Research prospect applicant organisations and build initial relationships

  • Assist in maintaining existing client relationships

  • Guide and support applicant organisations through the certification process

  • Ensure quality control in the evaluation of applications is maintained

  • Actively contribute to projects to improve ESGmark®’s processes and customer journey

  • Take a lead role in researching and producing relevant and engaging written content for community members, including detailed self-help guides and exciting bespoke projects

  • Take a lead role in growing ESGmark®’s resource library for community members

Qualifications/Key skills required:

  • Sustainability focused degree/Professional qualification

  • Sustainability focused work experience is a bonus

  • Self-starter

  • Excited by the prospect of a start-up in a fast-growing sector

  • Demonstrated sales success is a bonus

  • Excellent command of English

  • Excellent writing skills and ability to produce high quality written work in a timely manner

  • Proficient in basic excel

  • Good people skills

  • Passionate about helping organisations on their sustainability journey

  • Genuine desire to help change the world for the better

  • Good organisational skills

  • Confident public speaker
