The Vouch system, custom designed to make the tenant application process more efficient, making a difference to agents.
As well as operating the company, Vouch has their our own family run letting agency based in Sheffield. A Propertymark Industry supplier, Vouch are regularly talks about the benefits of a referencing company can offer at Propertymark events throughout the UK.
The Vouch system is custom designed to make the tenant application process more efficient and will make a difference to any letting agency using it, and they have the figures from their own agency to prove it.
May 2019 savings
Their agency, Shefflets, successfully delivered 23 lets in May 2019 referencing 36 tenants and 4 guarantors (an average of around 1.7 tenants per move in across the whole of Vouch)
Therefore, the Vouch bill for the month of May was £200 + VAT. (£5 per reference x 40 refs). Using other well-known providers, it would have cost anywhere between £600 and £1000 + VAT so there’s already a considerable cost saving.
Earnings from Vouch back end/ancillaries in May
Homeshift energy switches £340 (Shefflets uses their void model)
Sky subscriptions x 3 = £150
Zero excess Rent guarantees included in mgmt package x 4 = £440
Tenants contents insurance taken out x 7 = £70
Landlords buildings contents liability x 3 = £135
Zero deposits taken out 3 = £64
So, using Vouch was cost positive to the tune of £959 in their own agency. That's not even including the savings made on their old referencing provider. Include those and its between £1359 and £1759 in a single month.
Transparent referral fees
Vouch are fully transparent with all tenants about any referral fees you can earn with their partners and the small increments you receive for your referrals don’t affect the price the tenant pays.
In the post fee ban area, it is hugely important to maximise all possible revenue streams. If you can wrap this up in providing great value add ons for tenants at the stressful move in time, then it really is a win win for tenants and agents alike.
