Adding vintage style gutters to a period property in Branksome

Homes built pre-1930 tend be much larger than the standard modern home. Before the war and modern Britain homes were seen as your castle and they were built to match that. As our country grew and the needs of the many changed, homes became smaller and closer together.

Homes like this are now held by a lucky few who get to enjoy these outstanding properties with their period features. However, being made many years ago maintenance is more key than ever, but how does the modern homeowner update their home but keep the features which make this property unique?

Thank-fully many companies such as Rainclear offer replicate products which bring modern technology to a period home. At some point during its lifetime, this home had replacement gutters which were out of design with the home. Our team was able to replace these with look-a-like cast iron gutters, replace the wooden fascias with black uPVC and install fresh white soffit boards. 

This property now looks period correct and is benefiting from improved water flow, longer lasting uPVC and better waterproofing.
