Living Walls and Grounds Maintenance BALI Awards for Scotscape Group

It’s an exciting time of the year, when the crisp letters of notification arrive from the BALI Awards team, letting businesses like us know if they have won a BALI National Landscape Award. 2019 sees us being honoured with two awards for different departments within the Scotscape Business.

The Royal Lancaster Hotel

The first award is for the Living Wall at the Royal Lancaster Hotel. This 212m2 Living Wall wraps around the parking ramp of this landmark London Hotel which has recently undergone an £85m refurbishment, with green values and sustainability at its core. Our Fytotextile Living Wall was the perfect system to curve around the structure, from a height of over 10mtrs ending in a teardrop detail of 1m height at the hotel's entrance. We also undertook the landscaping at this prestigious location.

The second award has been allocated to our Groundscape team for their high quality maintenance work at The Berkeley Group Vista development. This mixed use development includes both residential and commercial spaces and delivers a variety of maintenance challenges. We worked on the soft landscaping of this impressive scheme with Principle Contractor Maylim in 2016, and have maintained the site ever since.

‘’We are passionate about bringing nature back into cities to support biodiversity, air quality, health and well-being and to mitigate the effects of increased urbanisation. It is testament to the broader Scotscape team to have received these awards from BALI’’
