Wow! How are we into April already?!
March has been a great month in our new office with a lot of projects moving forward and a few new projects added to our already healthy work bank.
Following on from the numerous design milestones we achieved in February, we were keen to keep the momentum going into March. The 7 site Solar PV and Electric vehicle charging feasibility study we are completing has been one of our bigger projects over the last 4 weeks. We are currently in the final stages of the design development before presenting to the client next week. Another larger scale project we have been working hard on throughout March is a new hotel in Leith, Edinburgh. This new 39 room hotel will be conveniently located in the heart of Leith and is due for completion next year. It has been a great project for the team to get their teeth into and we are currently in the process of finalising the RIBA Stage 4 design pack.
On the residential side, we still have a number of ongoing projects including 6 new luxury apartments in Falkirk, a new Passivehaus home in the Southside of Glasgow and a luxury townhouse redevelopment in Glasgow’s West End.
Away from design, some of the team travelled to Leeds to undertake a dilapidation survey of a 20,000 square foot CAT B office. In addition to this visit, the team continue to undertake the M&E coordination role on the Rattray Primary school project and quality assurance on a number of projects currently being constructed.
Looking forward, April looks like it is going to be another busy month but hopefully not as hectic as March! This month will see us commence the design of an extension to an existing GP practise for the NHS and also begin the design development of a new church and community hall in Cumbernauld. We are also now entering the Easter period which means a number of the team are taking well-earned holidays to recuperate and spend time with their families.
We are still on the lookout for an experienced mechanical building services engineer. As such, if you have experience in this industry and are looking to join a forward-thinking team, we would love to hear from you. If you are interested, please send your CV and covering letter to [email protected]. All applications will be treated in the strictest confidence.
