Pure Town Planning- Certificate of lawful use for flat in Blandford Forum listed building
Posted by Pure Town Planning on 18th June 2019 -
Dorset Council: Matt Annen director of Pure Town Planning has recently secured a certificate of lawful use to allow the change of use of an upper floor of a Listed building from A2 office use to C3 (residential flat) in the centre of Blandford Forum, Dorset.
The building in question is a grade II* listed building, listed for its special architectural interest. Our clients approached us with a view to formally applying for a change of use however we advised that a better route was available to them. Under Schedule 2, Part 3, Class G of the Town and Country Planning act the partial change of use of first and second floors to residential uses is permitted development.
This was a classic example of why it is a good idea to involve a professional planning consultant who is up to speed with the latest planning legislation and policy from the start. The decision was issued in line with the target date much to our clients delight.
If you have a commercial premises and would like to pursue a change of use application, or any other commercially-related planning application for that matter such as; increasing opening hours, new shopfronts, new signage, canopies etc. then please do not hesitate to give Pure Town Planning a call and we would be happy to chat through it with you.
