Pure Town Planning- Approved: 4 detached dwellings in Northbrook Road, Broadstone
Posted by Pure Town Planning on 10th September 2019 -
BCP Council (Poole): Neil McKeon of Pure Town Planning has secured full planning permission for 4 detached dwellings in Northbrook Road, Broadstone.
The scheme, designed by Anders Roberts Cheer for Harlequin Homes, sees the demolition of the existing dwelling and the erection of 4 family houses to both the southern and western boundary of the site fronting Northbrook Road. The proposed design follows the established building line, scale and gaps between properties which are a strong feature of Northbrook Road, allowing the two storey dwellings to be successfully integrated into a streetscene which primarily constitutes chalet bungalows.
The application site is located within the sustainable transport corridor and so there was no objection to the principle of additional residential development, which sees the former two plot site transforming into five distinctive plots accommodating detached family dwellings, without creating any harm to neighbouring privacy or amenity.
In collaboration with the Council Officers, the 4 unit proposal secured their full support, resulting in an attractive and high quality development which provides much needed family homes in a desirable and sustainable location, as earmarked in the Poole Local Plan.
