The Jolly Brewer, a prominent corner plot public house in a residential area of Brighton has been sold by licensed property specialist, Sidney Phillips.
The Jolly Brewer is located in the cosmopolitan coastal city of Brighton, one of the country’s most popular leisure and tourist destinations, a major conference venue and centre for education and the arts. Ditchling Road on which the property sits is a major arterial road leading from the dense residential areas to the north into the city centre.
The Jolly Brewer is a notable three-storey end of terrace Victorian property, well known within the local landscape with a wonderful Tamplin's Brewery exterior with some original cut and etched glass windows. The pub is a two bar operation with a capacity of 30-40, with a spacious 4 bedroom owners accommodation and rear trade patio.
Robert Cockayne, Regional Valuations Manager for the London & South East commented, “I am delighted to have handled the sale of the Jolly Brewer. Being part of a success story in what is rather uncertain circumstances is great. We have sold the Jolly Brewer to the existing Tenant at Will, ensuring the pub will be retained and that it will remain the pivotal part of the local community that Matthew has made it in recent years.”
“There are plans in place to invest in the property’s infrastructure and expand on the food and craft beer offering, enhancing your already great experience at “the Brewers”.”
Sidney Phillips sold the Jolly Brewer off a freehold asking price of £575,000.
