Plans have been submitted for a large data centre on a former landfill site at Iver in Buckinghamshire.

Greystoke Land and Altrad have jointly applied to Buckinghamshire Council for outline permission to create West London Technology Park at the 22.15-hectare Woodlands Park landfill site, south of Slough Road.

The scheme comprises two buildings totalling 72,000 sq m, along with a substation and landscaping.

The type of data centre proposed is called a hyperscale data centre, which is a large centre, typically owned and operated by one company.

The scheme, designed by Future Tech and planned by Pegasus. Its ecological impact assessment was carried out by Bioscan.
