The Honeysuckle Inn, a popular wet-led public house situated in a residential area of Ramsgate in Kent, has been sold through licensed property specialist, Sidney Phillips.
The Honeysuckle Inn is located in the seaside town of Ramsgate, one of the nation’s favourite seaside resorts of the 19th Century. The area has a population of approximately 40,000 residents and has one of the largest marinas on the English south coast. The area has seen somewhat of a revival in recent years having become a popular residence for young professionals pushed out of London by high property prices, who can utilise HS1 high speed rail connections to London and the Continent.
The Honeysuckle Inn occupies a charming Grade II listed property originally thought to have been a forge, nestled in a residential area close to the town centre and Montefiore Synagogue. It offers a traditional bar area, dining room, games room and three bedroom owners accommodation.
Robert Cockayne, Regional Valuations Manager for the London & South East handled the sale and comments, “I am delighted to have been involved in the sale of this popular community pub which has been under the same ownership for over 16 years and am pleased that, despite the current challenge the hospitality sector is experiencing, it will be retained for continued pub use.”
“The premises has been sold to local experienced first-time buyers with exciting plans to relaunch the business, once restrictions allow. This is going to be a great asset for the local community to have on their doorstep.”
Sidney Phillips sold the Honeysuckle Inn off a freehold asking price of £395,000.
