With over 25 years combined experience Jamie Hanly and Harry MacDonald aim to provide the best value construction and maintenance service in London.  HMB has a ‘no job is too small’ approach with a focus on customer satisfaction.

OUR HISTORY & VISION

Hanly MacDonald Bespoke was started by two experienced tradesmen Jamie Hanly and Harry MacDonald. Having both worked for a number of smaller companies before joining forces to create HMB they hold a wealth of experience across all trades. HMB realises that people are a business’s most important asset and therefore managing the right team in the right way has ensured that the business succeeds, maintains and grows.

Jamie has had a diverse trades career that has spread all over the world ranging from commercial to domestic carpentry all the way through to events, scenery & film work in more of a joinery field, working on challenging projects constantly putting his skills and knowledge to the test.

Jamie started working for Longcross Woodworks in 1997 working as an apprentice and time served carpenter. In April 2003, after 6 years at Longcross Woodworks Jamie joined Bisley Property Company as a senior carpenter where he worked for a further 6 years. Jamie spent time in Sierra Leone working for KBR before returning to the UK and setting up J.Hanly Bespoke Carpentry and Joinery LTD. He operated through this limited company whilst working for Pimlico Plumbers for 4 years before setting up HMB.

Harry is a committed Plumbing Engineer. Harry started his career with Proplumb & Heating in 2007.  It was here where he commenced college; attending The Plumbing Academy where he achieved level 2 technical certificates and NVQ 2. Having worked in Australia for almost 3 years he then returned to the UK to further tune his skills with a desire to set up his own business. After a year of working for Dyno as a drainage engineer Harry also joined Pimlico Plumbers where he learned principles of business and furthered his trades skill set. Again, very experienced, Harry holds the following qualifications: Level 2 technical certificates NVQ, level 3 technical certificate, level 1, 2 & 3 Health and Safety, excavator license, poly pipe heat fusion certificate and electrical spotter.
