This achievement, which followed a rigorous tender process, reaffirms Glenigan’s position as one of the construction sector’s go-to resources for market research and intelligence, already used by the majority of the Top 200 contractors, and widely consulted by the UK media for insight on breaking news.

The new Change Intelligence Managed Service will streamline OS’s data analysis processes, enabling production teams to capture changes more efficiently. This relationship will enable OS to provide even more accurate, timely, and high-quality location data to its public and private sector customers.

Key benefits include:

  • Enhanced insight: Linking Glenigan’s construction intelligence with OS address data to pinpoint site completion dates.
  • Change detection: Identifying updates not currently reflected in OS datasets.
  • Survey efficiency: Supporting site surveys with intelligence on key development stages.
  • Future trends: Delivering periodic reports on construction trends to optimise production planning.

Supplying OS with construction data, Glenigan will deploy its portfolio of powerful services to deliver exceptional results.

With over 160 global researchers and cutting-edge AI-backed tools, they offer 24/7 service, blending physical expertise with machine learning to provide up-to-date, comprehensive insights. The Glenigan team tracks all new planning applications and decisions across the UK, drawing from exclusive sources and conducting over one million calls and 250,000 hours of research annually to engage key decision-makers and maintain a robust database of planning and non-planning projects.

This gives Glenigan a comprehensive, contemporary picture of activity taking place currently or in the future, which can then be passed on to OS.

Commenting on the news, Robert Davis, Global VP of Project Content at Hubexo said, “Winning this contract is a testament to the experience and skill of our highly connected research team. As supplier of choice for Ordnance Survey, a world-renowned mapping authority, we remain committed to providing the highest-quality insight and intelligence available. It underscores Glenigan’s leadership in construction data and our focus on driving innovation and efficiency for our clients.”

Richard Tyrrell, Senior Production Manager at Ordnance Survey added, “‘OS is globally trusted for the accuracy of its location data, and so the award of this contract to Glenigan makes perfect sense to strengthen our ability to deliver precise and reliable information. It’s set to benefit our diverse range of customers, creating a more efficient and insightful way to navigate the market. It will streamline our data analysis capabilities, breaking down data barriers, and speeding up the decision-making process.”

Glenigan is an officially accredited data supplier for the Office of National Statistics. It also provides data to a number of Government departments.
