Commercial agents pick up prize in Liberty Property Trust’s Rugby World Cup draw

The Rugby World Cup wasn’t just a stunning victory for South Africa at the weekend, it also proved to be a great day for a trio of commercial property agents in the north-west of England.
Following a rugby-themed launch of L107 at Liberty Park Widnes, the newly constructed, highly specified 108,091 sq ft warehouse in September, agents were entered in a Rugby World Cup draw, with each being grouped into teams of participating nations.
The agents whose teams reached the semi-finals were awarded magnums of Champagne and official Rugby World Cup balls in the semi-final stages. Now the triumphant agents - Jonathan Williams, Savills; Mark Diaper, Legat Owen; and Guy Jackson of LSH - representing South Africa will receive tickets for a rugby Six Nations game in 2020.
Andrew Blevins, managing director of Liberty Property Trust, said: “The rugby-themed launch was such a success that we wanted to continue the buzz surrounding L107 at Liberty Park Widnes and, of course, the Rugby World Cup. It’s created some friendly rivalry throughout the tournament between the agents, which has been good.
“We would obviously have liked England to win but we’re only too pleased to be able to offer another superb rugby prize of tickets for a Six Nations match next year.”
Liberty Park Widnes has been hailed a milestone in the area’s economic development plans, because it will play a vital role in unlocking the important Halton and south Liverpool industrial and warehouse market.
L107 is the only completed new-build warehouse unit over 50,000 sq ft in the south Liverpool area, with significant local occupiers including JLR’s Halewood facility and the national motorway network, all within 3 miles.
