Case Study: Euston Penthouse
Posted by Nicholas Sunderland Interiors on 27th March 2021 -
Nicholas Sunderland, Interior designer in London, was approached by a client to design the luxury interior of a new penthouse being built in central London.
A weekend break from his Estate in York, it needed to be a full turnkey design. Bespoke furniture specially made to fit the high rise 24th floor, from Davidsons of London, Roche Bobois, and Robert Langford.
The brief was to turn this into a luxury 24th floor penthouse to rival the others in the tower. As part of his portfolio it was to be used initially for the summer season and tournaments with a readiness to sell as a complete package. Attention to detail was essential with spray painted walls, airless plaster and furniture with bespoke detail unique to the apartment. Individual pieces were hand made to fit the space with specially chosen materials and ebony strips were fitted into architraves to create a 3D element to a flat surface. Fully automated curtains and lighting added an almost seamless atmosphere at a single command.
