Building Beautiful Places

As reported by Housebuilder, when speaking at Policy Exchange’s Building Beautiful Places event on 20th July 2021, Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP, Secretary of State for Housing, Communities and Local Government said that the National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) would be updated to reflect the government’s Building Beautiful Places plan, putting an emphasis on “beautiful, practical design”, with residents and planners able to reject scheme designs that are of poor quality, unsustainable or “ugly”. 

Policy Exchange invites everyone to the online webinar on ‘Building Beautiful Places’ with Rt Hon Robert Jenrick MP, Nicholas Boys Smith Chair of Transition Board, Office for Place and Director, Create Streets and Joanna Averley Chief Planner, Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government.
