ARLA Propertymark Conference and Exhibition celebrates 25 years
Posted by Votta Sales & Lettings on 21st November 2019 -
Having grown significantly since its inception in 1995, and with various venues to accommodate the growing interest, the ARLA Propertymark Conference is now firmly rooted at ExCel in London to house the size and appetite of interest from the industry.
The monumental event, now in its 25th year, is taking place on Tuesday 24 March 2020 at ExCel London.
Due to tickets selling out six weeks prior to the 2019 Conference, we urge delegates to book early to avoid disappointment. Early bird tickets are now on sale for all members until 24 January and the full agenda for the day is available here.
Keynotes and programme
Dido Harding
Baroness ‘Dido’ Harding was Chief Executive of TalkTalk for seven years, growing the business in one of the most competitive, fast-moving markets, dominated by big players. As well as turning the company around from being Britain’s most complained about telecoms operator into an award-winning service provider, she also took a very visible public lead when TalkTalk were subject to a high-profile cyber-attack. She remains one of the UK’s best-known digital business leaders and is a regular commentator on what the digital revolution means for businesses and society, and how Britain can build a successful, inclusive, digital economy.
Mary Portas
Retail expert Mary has advised Government, transformed both luxury and high street stores, written books and produced a host of retail and business-themed TV programmes.
She is the Chief Creative Officer of her own retail consultancy, and author of Work Like a Woman: A Manifesto for Change, she also delivers an inspiring message of how businesses and individuals can adapt, transform and lead.
The Conference will also see a round table debate on the proposed changes to Section 21, with viewpoints from an ARLA Propertymark representative, a landlord and politicians.
Separately, with regulation on the horizon requiring all agents to be qualified, there will be a discussion on how agents can understand and implement recruitment and retention practices to ensure that they attract and retain the best talent.
Phil Keddie, ARLA Propertymark President said: “The ARLA Propertymark Conference is always a fantastic and informative event, but for its 25th year, agents can expect a truly unforgettable experience.
"The Conference presents delegates with an opportunity to hear the latest updates on legal and legislative changes, guidance on professional development, and of course to network with like-minded peers.
"Conference attendees feedback every year that it is a ‘must go-to’ event and that the learning from the day is hugely beneficial for them. I am thrilled to be President for the 25th anniversary conference and delegates can look forward to another spectacular event.”
