Urgent call for suitable housing sites
Posted by Greenslade Taylor Hunt on 14th October 2019 -
Dorset Council has begun work on a new countywide Local Plan in order to plan for the area’s long-term future. To aid this process the council is carrying out a 'call for sites' to identify land that may have potential for development over the next 15 years and beyond to help meet the housing and employment needs of the area.
The council is interested in sites that are larger than 0.3 ha in size or with a site capacity of 10 dwellings or greater, and are in close proximity to towns and villages to provide sustainable development opportunities in the county.
Development land and planning experts Greenslade Taylor Hunt can assist landowners and developers to identify potential sites, which might be suitable for homes and employment opportunities.
The firm works throughout the South West and has an experienced team that is highly qualified in this specialist area of work.
There is no time to delay as the “call for sites” deadline is Friday, October 25. The council keeps all site owner details confidential.
Landowners or agents who have previously submitted a site in earlier ‘call for sites’ in Dorset should re-submit their details.
Submission forms can be downloaded from www.dorsetcouncil.gov.uk/land-availability
