Upcoming Midlands Family Business Awards - finalists revealed

Judges of the upcoming Midlands Family Business Awards  have revealed the finalists for this year’s award show.

Taking place on Thursday 7th November at Leicester City Football Club’s King Power Stadium, the black-tie event dedicated to celebrating the success and achievements of family-run businesses is now into its 10th year,

Following an extended deadline last month, the awards show received the highest volume of interest to date, giving the judges a selection headache as they attempted to whittle down over 130 entries to just 51.

Finalists include family businesses across the transport, IT, manufacturing, hospitality and leisure, design, print and marketing, building, civil engineering, construction, property and development, food, veterinary, education, funeral services, healthcare, recruitment and retail industries.

Charlotte Perkins, Group Managing Director of the award’s organiser The Wilson Organisation, said: “We would like to say a big thank you to all family businesses that submitted applications. We had some really great interest this year and received a large number of high-calibre entries and this year’s entrants really demonstrated the exceptional standard of family businesses across the region.”

Three new categories were added to mark the 10th anniversary, bringing the total number of categories to ten, ensuring an accolade suitable for every type of business.

The awards are the UK’s only independent initiative dedicated to celebrating and recognising the success, achievements and innovations of family run and owned businesses, and the aim of them is to shine a light on the region’s talented and successful family businesses and play a real part in creating a community of likeminded and supportive individuals.
