An interesting opportunity to build nine open market homes on a former primary school site on the edge of a thriving town centre is being offered by development land and planning specialists Greenslade Taylor Hunt.

The firm has just brought to market the site of a former primary school in South Molton, which has detailed planning permission for nine open market homes.

The site off North Road is located approximately 0.2 miles from the town centre and extends to around 0.71 acres (0.29-ha).

North Devon Council has agreed, by delegated powers, to grant detailed planning consent for the conversion of the former school, which dates from around 1878, into four apartments and five houses.

The permission is subject to 20 conditions. As part of the permission the successful developer will be expected to contribute £62,560 towards education costs in the town.

Interested parties have until Thursday, May 23 at 12 noon to submit offers for the site. Offers are invited on an unconditional basis.

There are a number of opportunities to view the development site on Wednesday, April 24, Wednesday, May 1, Wednesday, May 8, and Wednesday, May 15. However all viewings are strictly by appointment between 9am-11am.

To book onto a view day and for more information about this site please contact the Development Land and Planning Department on 01823 334466.
